Dr. Seah Heap Yong graduated from the National University Singapore (NUS) in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS).
From 2001 to 2007, Dr. Seah worked in various restructured hospitals covering a wide range of disciplines. In recognition of his contributions during the SARS outbreak in Singapore, he was awarded the Courage Star in 2003. Subsequently, Dr. Seah obtained his post-graduate diploma in Geriatrics in 2007 and post-graduate diploma in acupuncture in 2013. In the same year, Dr. Seah also obtained the title of Family Physician.
Dr. Seah worked in a GP clinic in the heartlands from 2006 to 2020, and practised acupuncture on top of providing primary care services to the community.
From 2020 to 2024, Dr. Seah moved to Carterton, New Zealand, gaining a wealth of experience overseas as a rural GP. His work areas include telehealth consultations, minor procedures, chronic pain care, acupuncture services, nursing home care, palliative care, home hospice care.
